Buddies Mentoring Program

Statistic show that children who have a positive role model in their lives between the ages of 5 and 12,

will end up doing better in school, careers, and life, even if it’s only once a week!

Elizabethtown Area Communities That Care in partnership with Churches That Care sponsors a Buddy Program inviting individuals to meet with students in their school to be a friend and source of encouragement to them. Buddies typically meet with students during their lunch, recess or another free time. They play games, read, do crafts, and help with schoolwork or just visit. School counselors arrange all visits and our Buddies require clearances, a TB test, and the school volunteer form completed before meeting with a student.  Volunteers are always needed at every grade level and every school! EACTC and Churches That Care will help you fill out all necessary paperwork, cover any costs and match you with a child who needs a Buddy. Please contact Tina Roberge at ctc@hopeforetown.org.

There are children in our schools that need someone to come along side of them and be a friend. Will you be that person?
